Museum Policies for Your Visit
- Cell phones, pagers and other electronic devices must be turned to silent in the galleries.
- Pens, gum, candy, food, drinks, large bags, and large umbrellas are not permitted in the galleries. Bags and umbrellas can be checked at the front desk.
Visitors to the Arkansas Arts Center are welcome to take photographs only for their private, noncommercial use and only in the Center’s galleries devoted to the permanent collection.
Photography is not permitted in special exhibitions or in galleries designated by "No Photography" signs. Also, works of art on loan from private collections or other institutions—regardless of their location of display—may not be photographed and will be further designated by a "No Photography" sign.
Due to the light-sensitive nature of the Arts Center’s collection, the use of flash is prohibited at all times and in all galleries. Movie and video cameras and the use of monopods and tripods also are prohibited.
Photographs taken by visitors may not be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. Where possible, the Arkansas Arts Center should be credited as the owner of the work of art.
For press and other special photography needs, including the use of film and videotape, please contact the Marketing Department during normal business hours by phone (501-396-0323) or fax (501-375-8053). For more information or to request the use of photographs of works of art owned by the Arts Center for any purpose other than private and noncommercial, please visit the Rights and Reproductions page.
The Arkansas Arts Center reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph on its premises or to reproduce photographs of objects in its collection.
