Volunteers Needs

Children's Theatre
Usher during performances as well as help in the scene shop and costume shop and with the technical crew.

Committee On Call
A volunteer work force assists in organizing and collating information for distribution.

Docents
Docents conduct gallery tours of the Arts Center's permanent collection and special exhibitions. Requires an interview and training sessions.

Candidate Docents receive a course in art history, training on the Arts Center's permanent collection and instruction on how to conduct tours. Training also includes hands-on experiences in the Museum School studios. Candidate Docents must be able to attend all training sessions and commit to giving at least one year of volunteer service to the Docent Program. Exhibitions
Volunteers are needed to help with paid exhibitions. Duties include greeting visitors and collecting tickets. Three-hour shifts are available Tuesday – Sunday in the mornings and afternoons.

Membership Information Station
Volunteers greet visitors, answer questions and encourage patrons to enjoy the benefits of museum membership.

Museum Shop
Volunteers assist customers and help with merchandise inventory and display. Interview is required.

Receptions
Reception hosts/hostesses greet visitors and serve refreshments at exhibition openings and membership events.

Special Programs
Volunteers assist staff by coordinating and serving at annual events such as Tabriz and ARTament Bash.

Staff Aides
A volunteer work force is needed to assist professional staff with data entry, filing and other light office support.
