Let David teach you the finer points of nature photography. Through this hands-on workshop, students will learn how to compose with color, read and use available light better, add more drama to photographs, and learn the basics of nature photography gear. Photograph the changing seasons, waterfalls, and sunsets while on teacher-led field trips, then work on your photos in the Ottenheimer Digital Lab. Tuition includes cost of software licensing, ink, and other material / lab fees.

Individualize your photos artistically using alternative printing techniques. Learn to transfer images to fine art paper, wood, and other surfaces using image copies and using DASS transfer film. It is not necessary to be an experienced photographer, only that you have at least 10 digital images and photographs -from your phone, point-and-shoot, DSLR or scanner. Knowledge of printing digital images is not required. A Supply List will be posted on the AAC website at www.arkansasartscenter.org before class begins. Other specialized materials can be purchased directly from the instructor during class time. Students will bring some common materials from home. Ample open studio time will be available to students on workshop weekends. Tuition includes cost of software licensing, ink, and other material / lab fees.
