The three-dimensional nature of clay encourages kids to think about structure, shapes, and forms. Learn hand building techniques, such as, pinch pots, slab-build vases and coil-build pots by making flower vases, toad houses, and planters. Learn to throw basic forms on the potter's wheel, including cylinders, cups, and bowls. Instruction also includes glazing methods and surface treatments.
Classes scheduled every week on Tuesday starting 6/21/2016 and ending 8/23/2016 at 4:00PM

Develop your own unique ideas and designs. Instructor will work closely with individual students on turning sketches into functional pottery, while continuing to learn and strengthen hand building and wheel throwing techniques. Create cylinders, vessels, cups, and bowls. Students will also learn to trim, make handles, and glaze.
