Need to add some high impact color to your drawings? Try colored pencils! Discover the basics of using colored pencils as a drawing medium and learn how to incorporate them with other drawing materials. Water-soluble pencils and other techniques will be discussed. Instructor will also share examples with class.

PREREQUISITE: Intended for intermediate and advanced drawing and/or painting students

This is a drop-in class. Registration not required. $20 per session, paid at the door. CASH ONLY. Draw or paint from a live model. No formal instruction provided; instructor is present to coordinate class and model only. Admission fee includes model fees.

PUNCH CARD:

1) You will receive a punch card the first time you attend this class.
2) Your card will be punched each time you attend a full 3-hour session.
3) After four punches your fifth class is free.
4) Punch cards do not expire.

LITTLE OR NO DRAWING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
~
Guided exercises teach students how to see the basic shapes that are inherent in every object. Learn to use line, value, composition, and illusion of depth in an image. Explore different drawing materials.

PREREQUISITE: Beginning Drawing or equivalent. Understanding drawing elements required.
~
Learn to combine all drawing elements into more polished drawings. Continue working from still lifes as well as learning human form basics. Discuss sketchbook routines and practices, critique, and how to dissect finished work.

Learn how to use charcoal in more fluid and experimental ways. Processes for "painting" with charcoal using water and other media will be explained and demonstrated. Learn how to draw dry on wet and dry on dry.
